Foodie Friday: Gearing Up for the 2017 IDDBA Experience

Every summer, I look forward to the various expos that feature the most innovative, creative, and noteworthy leaders in the food industry. And 2017 looks to be one of the most inspiring seasons yet as I eagerly anticipate this year’s International Dairy Deli Bakery Association show in sunny Anaheim.

At Sunday’s Show and Sell WorkshopI’m presenting an exciting topic that’s near and dear to me—Experiences that Engage—and I’m thrilled to share ways to connect with customers across demographics who seek an extraordinary experience at the retail level.

Catch me there with celebrity chefs Giada de Laurentiis, George Duran, and Shaun O’Neale, along with industry gurus including author Eddie Yoon, customer retention specialist Harold Lloyd, and former president of Trader Joes, Doug Rauch.

You can also visit me in the Expert Neighborhood alongside other knowledegable dairy, deli, and bakery insiders to unpack questions, tackle specific challenges, and discuss the best ways to engage and inspire your customers.

Check out the event schedule here and the Expert Neighborhood video below.

And, of course, for something a little weird…

Ever met up with friends and colleagues in person to connect online? That’s exactly the fun we’re planning at IDDBA 2017!

As announced by IDDBA CEO Michael Eardley, a friend on my Twitter site:

We are going to have a “live” gathering of Twitter users in Anaheim! If you currently use Twitter, or if you are thinking about joining this online social community to share information and insights with your foodie friends, plan on joining us to connect at the First IDDBA TWEETIN in Anaheim.

promises to be the social leader at the TWEETIN and will be one of our EXPERTS! Learn to S.I.N.G. with the best! The TWEETIN will be held on Saturday night, June 3 prior to show opening on June 4th! Hoping to see many of you there. More details to come…

Happy Foodie Friday!
