As the weekend approaches, it’s a great time for each of us to step back from the busy work week and enjoy a few of life’s small pleasures. One of my all-time favorites is the Krispy Kreme Doughnut. I have enjoyed these little gems on occasion for more than 30 years. The simplicity of the original-glazed recipe and the genius “hot now” neon sign marketing work together to give this irresistible treat some serious staying power and cultural cache. (more…)
